Companions and Friends opened its doors on June 1st, 2004. Located on the South side of Edmonton, we are open from 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. The daycare is constantly supervised for the safety of the clients and we screen each dog to make sure they are compatible with the other dogs. There is an "open door" policy in place, and we encourage owners to come in and check on their pets at any time of the day. Cleanliness is a top priority and any accidents are cleaned up immediately and the area disinfected. We cater to all breeds as we keep the small dogs seperated from the larger breeds. Fern has been training dogs privately and professionally for other local facilities for approximately 20 years. He is an active student of the martial arts (Uechi-Ryu Karate) and holds a rank of black belt. Fern also enjoys riding his motorcycle in the summer months. Cindy has been grooming dogs for approximately 12 years, and has gained much experience with different breeds and their personalities. She has been managing doggie daycares for just over a year. Cindy is a beginning student in Uechi-Ryu Karate, and has received her first green stripe. They have two dogs; a male Puli who is ten weeks old, and a one year old female black German Shepherd. Companions and Friends is a family run business and clients could quite often see our children playing with the dogs or helping in the office. Please stop by and check us out.
